We laser cut the parts from high grade Baltic birch plywood, glue and assemble them by hand, then hand sand every edge until the lips and landings feel finished. Every obstacle is handcrafted start to finish in our Rochester, NY shop. The acrylic scuffs as you use it, which is wear, not damage. Store it flat so the benches stay square to the table.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eCare\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003eKeep it dry and indoors. Plywood swells if it sits in moisture, so keep it off damp surfaces and wipe it with a dry cloth. Use a dry cloth on the acrylic and skip solvents and polish, they haze the finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Bench is a slim wooden fingerboard bench, 20cms long and only 4.5cms wide, topped with matte teal acrylic for a fast, consistent slide.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is the closest piece we make to a real plaza bench: narrow, low, and unforgiving, so your setup has to be squared up before you commit. Two grind edges run the full length, both formed by the acrylic cap rather than by the wood, which is why the slide holds its speed as it wears instead of going furry.
